We use technology to intelligently match seniors with services and products based on their needs, personalities, interests, and more. This simplifies caregiving, reduces turnover, and improves health outcomes and quality of care.

MeetCaregivers is also committed to improving healthcare access by utilizing social determinants of health to drive equity across the healthcare ecosystem. The foundation of our mission is based on fluency in cultural competence.

What We Do

Finding and managing home care can be time-consuming and stressful. So we make it easy, safe, and affordable to find, coordinate, and track senior care.

From skilled medical care for chronic conditions to non-medical support for activities of daily living, our companions and clinicians have the skills and credentials to meet your family’s needs. Our caregivers and companions assist with daily activities such as:

MeetCaregivers connects our members to curated and approved resources, including technology tools like our Care Portal and Caregiver Match program and senior care products for mobility, accessibility, nutrition, security, personal care, and more.

Our solutions also empower family caregivers with practical in-home care resources, including education, home health providers, and technology tools such as our:

  • Care Match program, which improves matches between seniors and caregivers, lowering caregiver turnover by 80% and improving satisfaction rates as high as 90%.
  • Family Care Portal, which lets caregivers, families, seniors, health providers, and carriers easily connect and track care plans, tasks, ADLs, medications, and health data from a single app.
  • Homecare product marketplace, which offers additional goods to support seniors at home, including nutrition, security, mobility, and accessibility products.

With a greater focus on value-based care, proper staffing is key to lowering burnout and helping employees continue to provide high-quality, cost-effective care. We offer high-quality augmented staffing support services to hospitals, senior care communities, corporations, schools, and more. 

Our network includes thousands of healthcare workers nationwide, including homemakers, companions, PCAs, HHAs, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs. Our experienced professionals are ready to work from Day 1 with a complete understanding of health facility policies and procedures, leading to time saved on on-site training and more productivity.

Our partners, which include senior care communities in Massachusetts, Florida, and more, report shorter patient stays, greater satisfaction, and fewer readmissions and adverse events. Meanwhile, our partners can meet bigger targets such as better staff retention, documentation, and profitability.

We provide supplemental benefits through Medicare Advantage plans and help overcome barriers to health equity with the tools and resources to deliver health plans hands-on insights about their members.

Together with our partners, we can improve access to preventative care, promote independence, and support social and family support networks for seniors and dual-eligible members wishing to remain in their homes by optimizing their care coordination and improving their safety.

The Story Behind MeetCaregivers

We’re solving the cause of fragmented home care: inefficient technology.

With over 15 years of experience, MeetCaregivers founder and CEO Florence Furaha recognized that the biggest challenge for families wasn’t simply finding a qualified caregiver, but a compatible one: “The process can be stressful, time-consuming, especially for families who do not live in the same city as their aging parents.”

She understood that as a caregiver, her clients weren’t just allowing her in their homes, but in their lives.

“It’s really important to match seniors with the right caregivers. But it’s not always about the exact skills and experience.

It’s a lot about the personality match, and we are spending a lot of time building the technology around it – for the person needing care, but also the person finding and managing care.”

With this in mind, she developed a solution to accomplish three main goals:

  • Simplify the process for families and seniors seeking care.
  • Facilitate better relationships between caregivers and seniors.
  • Deliver support to caregivers, so they continue providing the best care possible.

After a brief career in finance, Florence pursued her passion as a caregiver and launched MeetCaregivers with co-founder Ritah Nakandi. By offering a holistic, coordinated approach to in-home care, Florence hoped to streamline the process for everyday people and minimize care fragmentation by addressing pitfalls she experienced with other agencies:

Poor Matches Between Caregivers and Clients 

Most homecare agencies assigned caregivers to clients based on the client’s care needs and the caregiver’s skill set. Pairings had little to do with personality or interests, which made it difficult for caregivers and clients to form positive relationships with each other. 

Communication Challenges

They also lacked a central digital database for tracking and reporting health data across multiple channels. This included manual documentation, which was time-consuming and prone to error. Agencies also frequently needed an effective way for caregivers, care managers, care recipients, and families to communicate or share information.

High Caregiver Turnover

Many caregivers faced unfair treatment from agencies, inconsistent schedules, and low wages. This affected morale and contributed to turnover, further hindering the home care process for seniors and families.

Coordinated Care Means Better Care

These friction points added to families’ stress, interfered with care quality, and raised the risk of critical gaps in care. Ultimately, these issues contributed to a more significant problem — loneliness and isolation in seniors.

Without efficient technology, caregivers, clients, and families faced limited support and access to resources to streamline the process. As a result, neither families nor caregivers were great matches, and the relationships and care suffered.

To change the homecare experience for everyone, MeetCaregivers utilizes several unique proprietary tools designed to transform the in-home care experience.

Care Match Program

Our proprietary tech-enabled care matching algorithm improves matches between seniors and caregivers, reducing caregiver turnover by 80% and increasing satisfaction rates among caregivers, seniors, and families to as high as 90%.
