MeetCaregivers Adds Two New Vice Presidents to Lead Expansion of MA Business

Newton, Massachusetts, June ##, 2022 – MeetCaregivers, a health technology company specializing in intelligently matching pre-screened caregivers to seniors, announces the hiring of Bill Glueck as Vice President, Strategy and Partnerships, and Gray Somers as Vice President, Business Development. As seasoned industry entrepreneurs and successful operators, Glueck and Somers will focus on building out the company’s Medicare Advantage business.

After successfully demonstrating and scaling its direct-to-consumer model, MeetCaregivers has made the strategic decision to expand into the third-party payer space. The company provides supplemental benefits through Medicare Advantage plans and helps seniors overcome barriers to health equity with the tools and resources necessary to deliver health plans and hands-on insights into their members.

Glueck, former Vice President of Business Development, Americas, for PAI Health and tenured executive with Anthem BC/BS, Connecticut, and Somers, former Managing Director of Bridge Point Capital and previous Anthem BC/BS executive, will help MeetCaregivers improve seniors’ access to preventative care, promote independence, and support social and family support networks for seniors and dual-eligible members wishing to remain in their homes by optimizing their care coordination and improving their safety.

“As CMS has continued to expand coverage for in-home support services, Glueck’s technology-based, entrepreneurial perspective combined with Somers’s leadership abilities and extensive healthcare network, will provide MeetCaregivers a path to succeed in the third-party payer space,” said Florence Furaha, Founder and CEO.

With his diverse background as a healthcare broker, consultant, and executive manager, Glueck will help drive strategy, product development, and nationwide expansion of partnerships between MCG and health plans offering Medicare Advantage plans and D-SNP plans throughout the United States.

“Having an opportunity to share my experience as a fellow founder and health plan veteran, and to help build the team of senior leaders and consultants that will contribute to MeetCaregivers’ success was a great fit for me,” said Glueck. “I’m excited about the opportunity to work with a compelling founder who is solving a problem that will help make the world a better place.”

Somers’ extensive relationships with senior executives and thought leaders in the payer community, combined with his experience as a successful healthcare entrepreneur, will help MeetCaregivers successfully demonstrate that they have an impactful and durable delivery model that will lead to better outcomes at lower cost for payers.

When questioned about his decision to join the company, Somers said, “I am most excited to be involved in an emerging healthcare business that is extraordinarily well-positioned to help deliver the right care at home, with the right people and at the right cost. MeetCaregivers’ unique ability to effectively establish long-term, meaningful relationships with its caregivers, combined with its technology platform, made this an easy decision for me.”
