MassChallenge 2015 – Becoming One Of Boston’s Best
Meetcaregivers will join 128 Boston finalists selected from more than 1,600 applicants for the MassChallenge 2015 accelerator program this summer.
Throughout the four-month program, we will have access to expert mentors and industry resources as part of Boston’s robust startup community.
We are a Newton, Massachusetts-based startup. Since the beginning, we have worked to help families find affordable caregivers for their aging loved ones. Additionally, our services are up to 50% less than the cost of traditional agencies.
During this year’s event, finalists will compete for more than $1.75 million in cash awards and more than $10 million in-kind support. From Florence Furaha, Meetcaregivers CEO:
“We are excited to have been selected to participate in MassChallenge 2015. We are ready to scale and are confident that participating in MassChallenge will help us gain the contacts, visibility, and support we need to grow the business and help more seniors age at home.”
As one of 28 startups selected for Boston’s “social impact” category, we strive to make it easier and more affordable for Boston’s aging population to age in place. We want seniors to live their golden years in the comfort of home, rather than move to an assisted living facility or nursing home.
In addition, we aim to support caregivers by helping them find independent work assignments and earn better wages than a traditional home healthcare agency.
We use online and video technology to help families safely find and connect with qualified caregivers while still costing up to 50% less than traditional agencies.

Hiring a caregiver through Meetcaregivers is easier and safer than using job boards like Craigslist or Care.com. That’s because we pre-screen each candidate and handle payments and insurance. Now you can worry less and not have to deal with the complexities of self-directed home care.
